Dr Aaron Cassidy, performances in Australia, Huddersfield and Düsseldorf

Dr Aaron Cassidy has a number of performances in the first part of 2014:

ELISION conducted by Carl Rosman perform And the scream, Bacon’s scream, is the operation through which the entire body escapes through the mouth (or, Three Studies for Figures at the Base of a Crucifixion) and memento/memorial (Peter Veale, oboe) at Carriageworks in Sydney on March 18. On March 5, Ben Marks on trombone performed Because they mark the zone where the force is in the process of striking (or Second Study for Figures at the Base of a Crucifixion) at  the Queensland Conservatorium South Bank in Brisbane, Australia.

February saw the premiere of Dr Cassidy’s first foray into electroacoustic composition, APOFIR-REDUX at the Electric Spring Festival, Huddersfield. Paul Hübner from mam.manufaktur played the solo trumpet work  What then renders these forces visible is a strange smile at Schönes Wochenende Festival für Modernes Hören, Museum Kunstpalast Düsseldorf, Germany.
