Tremblay, Adkins, Einbond & Roche at INTER/actions Conference, Bangor

Composers Pierre-Alexandre Tremblay, Monty Adkins, Aaron Einbond, and clarinettist Heather Roche attended INTER/actions, a three day conference (10-12 April) and mini-festival, exploring performance and interaction in electronic music at the University of Bangor. Organised by Xenia Pestova and her team, the conference featured a mix of workshops, lectures and performances. Four composers based at Huddersfield were represented: Aaron Einbond’s ‘Temper’ for bass clarinet and electronics, a movement from Monty Adkins’ Four Shibusa (the album recently released on audiobulb) for clarinet and electronics, Pierre-Alexandre Tremblay’s ‘La rupture inéluctable’ for bass clarinet and electronics and Eric Maestri’s ‘Ritratto Vivente’ for violin and electronics (with Georgia Privitera, violin). Se-Lien Chuang made the video of the performance of Tremblay’s work given by Heather Roche which is now available on YouTube.
