Dr Geoffrey Cox, premiere of ‘Tree People’ documentary film

Dr Geoffrey Cox’s new film ‘Tree People’ will be premiered on 5 April 2014 in Linthwaite. The documentary film is about the history and activities of the Colne Valley Tree Society that has been planting trees in the Colne Valley, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, since 1964. Geoff has been planting with the group every year since 1998. In terms of music research, the documentary will primarily focus on the creative use and manipulation of diegetic sound, and music, that includes a musical score, performed by local brass band, the Slaithwaite Band.
